Back to School Terms and Conditions

BACK TO SCHOOL PROMOTION 2024

During the Promotional Period defined below, Digicel is offering its “Back to School Promotion” (the “Promotion”).

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in this Promotion.

“We” or “us” means Digicel (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited (“Digicel”), a company registered under the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with registered offices at 11C Maraval Road, Port of Spain, Trinidad. 

“I” or “you” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy which you can access via the Digicel’s website.

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, or if you are under the age of eighteen (18), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

 

1. What is the Back-to-School Promotion?

During the period 14th August, 2024 to 30th September, 2024 (“Promotional Period”), Digicel is offering the Back-to-School Promotion which consists of seven (7) offers.  The details of these offers are as follows:

2. Can I buy the smart watch without signing up for the Postpaid plan?

No. The plan is bundled with the watch.

 

3. Can anyone sign up for the Postpaid Evolution Plan?

4. Where can I access the Tertiary plan offers?

The tertiary plans will be offered via the following Digicel Stores:

  1. Excellent City Center, Port of Spain
  2. Trincity Mall, Trincity
  3. C3 Mall, San Fernando
  4. Shirvan Plaza, Tobago

 

5. What is the minimum service period for the Smartwatch postpaid plan?

The minimum period for this plan is eighteen (18) months.

 

6. What is the minimum service period for the Postpaid Tertiary plan?

The minimum service period period for this plan is eighteen (18) months.

 

7. Do I have to pay a security deposit when signing up for the Smartwatch or Tertiary postpaid plans?

Yes, you must pay a security deposit.  The value of the security deposit is equal to one month’s subscription fee of the selected plan.

 

8. Can I change my postpaid plan to another plan after sign-up?

You can choose to move to another postpaid plan 6 months after sign up.  If you terminate or convert to prepaid within the minimum service period, you will be responsible for paying the early termination fees, that is, the full subscription fee multiplied by the number of months remaining in your minimum service period.

 

10. Additional Terms and Conditions applicable to this Promotion

  • This offer is for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of the particular offer and/or promotion.
  • Digicel shall have the right to disqualify any individual from availing of any offer in this Promotion, if in its sole opinion, the offer is being abused by that individual.
  • Digicel reserves the right to terminate this Promotion or any offer or all forthwith if, in its sole opinion, the offers are being abused.
  • Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this Promotion being offered to its customer at its discretion.
  • Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.
  • Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a short code from a mobile handset or via the My Digicel App shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.
  • Subject to the above, Digicel’s Mobile Telephone Services Terms and Conditions shall apply.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
