As Chief Compliance and Cybersecurity Officer, Michael leads the charge on our overarching compliance and cybersecurity strategy while driving the development, implementation and adoption of that strategy throughout the organisation.

Originally from Jamaica, Michael is a strategic and solutions-oriented lawyer and compliance executive with over 15 years of experience delivering impactful results addressing legal, compliance, enterprise risk, cybersecurity and data privacy matters for Fortune 500 companies. Michael most recently served as Group Chief Compliance Officer at National Grid plc, an international energy company based in London, United Kingdom.

Prior to that, he was Group Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Vice President – Legal at Wabtec Corporation, a global locomotive manufacturer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S. Michael also spent over seven years as Senior Counsel for General Electric Company (GE) and three years as a Litigator in the New York City offices of Paul Hastings LLP, a leading international law firm. He holds a BA/MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and a law degree (Juris Doctor) from Boston College Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. Michael is based in Kingston, Jamaica.
