Mario Balladares

As Group Chief Consumer Officer, Mario Balladares is focused on driving growth and implementing a commercial framework that drives business performance through a target-based model centred on product profitability, channel contribution and sales productivity. Under his leadership, the Consumer Business is committed to working collaboratively with the markets and for the markets, ensuring an end-to-end approach where all business and support areas effectively contribute to sustainable and efficient growth.

Mario was previously with Millicom and Tigo Colombia, where he held various regional and in-market roles in B2C, Marketing, and Business Intelligence. Before that, he spent over a decade in the aviation and loyalty industries, working for Avianca Airlines, LifeMiles and Taca Airlines in regional and global roles across Latin America, the US, and Europe. Originally from Guatemala and with over 20 years of experience living across Latin America, Mario is based in Kingston, Jamaica, with his family.
