Digicel is celebrating Christmas in Dominica through the “Sewinal this Christmas” (the “Promotion”). The promotion offers new and existing subscribers a chance to Win weekly prizes of hams and Turkeys, appliances, cash, smartwatches, staycations, Land and Grocery Vouchers, Amazon gift cards, hampers plus more to ten (10) lucky weekly winner – Five (5) Mobile and Five (5) Digicel+ subscriber. This is a Six (6) weeks campaign between November 22nd 2024 & December 31st 2024. 

In addition to the Christmas weekly winners Digicel will launch exclusive Unlimited Data feature in market. Customers will enjoy unlimited data on our 1, 3 and 7day plans for the entire Christmas season (November 22nd to December 31st 2024). These new data plans will allow customers to enjoy all their favorites using their data and rates they love and enjoy.  

These  Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win prizes. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion. 

“We” or “us” means Digicel Dominica Limited, a company registered under the laws of Dominica with registered office at 20 Bath Road, Roseau, Dominica. References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these terms also include our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time. 

“I” or “you” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning). 

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 

These Terms incorporate the Digicel Terms of Use and Privacy Policy which you can access via our website. 

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, or if you are under the age of eighteen (18), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

The Following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

  1. How do I sign up for the Handset Promotion?

You may visit any of our Retail Stores to sign up with an agent, sign up through a Direct Sales Agent, or register on our webpage, one of our agents will contact you in the next 24-48 hours. 

 

  1. How will the Promotion be announced?

Winners will be called every Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

MECHANICS OF THE PROMOTION 

WEEKLY DRAWS:  In the weekly draws, the following will be taken into consideration: 

  • All new subscribers signed up the previous days in prepaid, postpaid or Digicel+  
  • All timely payment of bills for Digicel+ and mobile postpaid services, paid the day before     

Important Notes: 

  • Participating customers who have already won a prize in the previous weekly raffles, will not be taken into account for the rest of the weekly raffles of the promotion. 
  • The same customer with a different mobile number, may not win more than one prize per draw. 

The draws for the weekly prizes will take place from November 29th, 2024 and will end on December 31st 2024. Draws will be carried out through a random platform called Raffle Manager provided by Digicel Group, which consists of an electronic raffle that obtains the winner’s number at random. 

 

  1. What do I need to know about collecting my prize if I am a winner?
  • If you win, Digicel will contact you by telephone, where they must identify themselves as the owner of the line and must provide the following information: ID, Full Name, and Email address. 
  • If the winner is not the owner of the mobile line, you must obtain the consent of the owner in writing, where the owner states that he/she has assigned the line to you. 
  • A maximum of three (3) attempts will be made to call you within one (1) hour. 
  • During the telephone call, our Digicel representative will advise you where and how to redeem your prize at the Digicel Corporate office or Flagship Store, located in Roseau. Prizes can be collected every Friday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 
  • Customers have three (3) days after being notified of their winning to collect their prizes. Unclaimed prizes will remain the property of Digicel. 
  • You will be required to provide a government-issued identification. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) years, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must collect the prize on your behalf and will be required to provide government-issued identification. 
  • You agree that if you are a winner, you will permit photographs of you to be taken and for your image, likeness, and name (your “Likeness”) to be used for public relations and marketing purposes free of cost, including the publishing of your Likeness on social media, mainstream media, and other platforms that we may choose. If you refuse to do so, you acknowledge that this will result in forfeiture of your right to claim the prize. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) years, your parent or guardian must consent to this on your behalf. 

Additional Terms and Conditions  

  1. This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any prizes redeemed through this Promotion. 
  1. Upon accepting a prize, you will be responsible for reading and accepting any terms and conditions that may be associated with that prize.  
  1. Digicel makes no representations or warranties as to the working condition of any tangible prize. The warranty information provided by the manufacturer of the prize will apply. 
  1. We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services. 
  1. We reserve the right to modify, extend or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you, at our discretion. 
  1. You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for claiming and collection of prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your participation in the Promotion. 
  1. If a prize is unavailable, we may, at our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal value and/or specification. 
  1. We reserve the right to award any forfeited prize to another participant in the Promotion. 
  1. Prizes are not exchangeable and are not redeemable for devices or services. 
  1. We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or on our social media pages. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications. 
  1. Any personal data relating to you will be used solely for the purposes of this Promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by us to assist with running the Promotion on our behalf and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without your prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion for the purposes of administration of the Promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are selected) and any other purposes to which you have consented.
